On the day Luz came to the Boiling Isles, Vee went through the same Portal to escape. Emperor Belos and the Emperor's Coven brought Vee and the Basilisks back from extinction to test their absorbing abilities. He put her and her kind through many experiments to extract living creatures of their magic until they were completely drained. Vee and a few other Basilisks would escape from him and the Emperor's Coven, she had lived in fear from him and knew he would come looking for her and her fellow Basilisks.
